William Gallas believes Vinicius Jr would’ve left Real Madrid to play in Saudi Arabia had he won the Ballon d’Or last year.
“I think if Vinicius Junior won the Ballon d’Or, then he would leave Real Madrid to go to Saudi Arabia; that would’ve also freed up Kylian Mbappe to play on the left,” Gallas told Spin Genie.
“But I think him not winning it has complicated things; he is still young and will have dreams of winning it despite his numbers not being quite as good this season.
“This season, I can’t see him leaving; he wants to prove what he can do and could still win the Ballon d’Or in the next two or three years.
“It would be good to see him in the Premier League, but some players don’t want to play here. It is more physical and intense than La Liga, which suits him perfectly.
“He wouldn’t be able to play the same way if he came to the Premier League. He might struggle with the difference.”
