Shopper applaud ‘best eye cream’ that gives ‘filler effect’

The sensitive eye area, often the first to reveal signs of ageing, such as fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness, can be challenging to treat. However, a new advanced eye cream from dermatologist Dr Dennis Gross promises impressive results and has already won over customers.

The DermInfusions Fill + Repair Eye Cream (£64) is designed to target six zones around the eye where ageing signs typically appear – crow’s feet, under eyes, lids, bunny lines, eleven lines and the inner tear trough. It utilises popular skincare ingredients copper peptides and ectoin, which, according to the brand, ‘diminish fine lines, restore the moisture barrier and firm wrinkles’.

Clinical trials conducted by Dr Dennis Gross himself indicate a brighter under-eye area after two weeks of using this new eye cream. Furthermore, 93% of testers reported a firmer, brighter, smoother eye area, while 81% noticed an immediate reduction in fine lines.

Customer reviews are equally positive, with many dubbing it ‘the best eye cream they’d tried’. One satisfied customer shared their experience on the Space NK website: “I’ve only been using the Fill Repair Eye Cream for a couple of weeks, but I can already see a difference.”

They added: “My under-eyes look more awake and less sunken, and the fine lines are softer. It has a lightweight, silky texture that absorbs quickly and layers well with other products. I love the cooling feel when I apply it- it’s super refreshing in the morning.”

Another customer lauded the eye cream’s active ingredients: “The hyaluronic acid really plumps up the skin, and I’ve noticed less puffiness and darkness overall. It honestly feels like a mini filler effect without the needles.”

Echoing the sentiment, another shopper revealed: “I have been using the cream both morning and night for around three weeks now—my dark circles have definitely lightened, and the skin around my eyes looks plumper. I am definitely using less under-eye concealer, which is great.”

However, a more cautious testimonial came from a tester who observed that instant results may be unrealistic but still noted positive aspects: “It feels nice to apply and easy to use, but I haven’t seen massive effects—but I think it would take longer than a week to see results,” they admitted, also mentioning that it “feels nourishing and gentle, soaks in quick and doesn’t feel heavy on the face.”

For those seeking alternatives, retinoids are beneficial ingredients to consider in anti-ageing skincare. It’s advisable to start with low percentages and gradually increase to prevent irritation. Medik8 Crystal Retinal Ceramide Eye, starting at £42 and available in three different strengths, is a good option.

On the other hand, if you have sensitive eyes and primarily need gentle hydration, Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, priced at £30, is worth trying.

But a Dr Dennis Gross fan piped up: “I give a lot of love to my under-eye area, so I am quite picky with what I use, and this eye cream is one of the best,” acknowledging that “It plumps, hydrates and firms, and I have seen a noticeable different in a short space of time. I can’t wait to carry on using this lovely product.”
