Nationwide to give some members £200 as it confirms £100 bonuses | Personal Finance | Finance

Nationwide has said it will give some members £200 for free, as it confirmed a raft of £100 bonuses for millions of people on Thursday. The world’s largest building society has distributed its “Fairer Share” payments in recent years, with members recently keen to hear if they’d receive the cash in 2025.

In an update earlier today, Nationwide said it will give more than four million of its customers £100 each. Eligible members use Nationwide for “everyday banking”, as well as holding a qualifying savings or mortgage product.

These payments will be deposited into Nationwide current accounts between June 18 and July 4, and the financial provider also said members who didn’t have their main current account with Nationwide on March 31 can get £200 by taking up a switching deal.

Members who didn’t have their main current account with Nationwide on March 31 can benefit from a £200 Member Exclusive Current Account Online Switch Offer from today.

Existing customers who switch their main account to Nationwide will get £200 if they complete a full switch online to a new or existing FlexPlus, FlexDirect or FlexAccount. Nationwide notes that the switch must include the closure of the old account.

You’ll also need to move over at least two Direct Debits, complete the switch within 28 days, and pay in at least £1,000 and make one debit card payment within 31 days of the account opening, or applying to switch into an existing account.

Nationwide added: “You can only get this offer if you’re switching into a sole or joint account that hasn’t had one of our switch offers since 2021.”
